what are modules?

Each module extends the motherboard's basic computation functionality by adding special functions. Any module can be plugged easily into one (or more) of the motherboard's connection plugs. From there the modules are provided with electrical power and data connectivity. In order to simplify the quest for the right modules fitting the desired application, all modules are grouped into functional units.
